Laurie Vincent

Making up one half of the band SLAVES, Vincent is also an avid artist. He uses bold brushstrokes and a mismatch style in his painting. It’s quite refreshing to see art that isn’t overthought and has humour. 

This painting is based on the theory of fluoride- said to block out your third eye, if you avoid it you can open your third eye. 

This painting is called ‘Arse Church’ “ religion is humourous to me, it’s like this image is pulling a moony at religion.” 

I love his playfulness within his work and how he isn’t afraid to be controversial.
