Jo Jo Anavim

While scrolling through Instagram I stumbled upon the work of Jo Jo Anavim, a mixed media artist who uses Andy Warhol as inspiration for a lot of his work, emulating his screen printing process.

He uses vintage collages and bright colour in his work which I’m really attracted to.

His work is loved by celebrity buyers including Kylie Jenner, Russel Simmons and Seth Mcfarlane. Anavim has also recently worked with Selena Gomez on her portrait pop art style.

The artist sees himself as the pop artist for the snapchat generation creating art that speaks to a younger consumer because of its style references and humour.

He describes his artwork as “ a collision between fine art and mass consumerism sprinkled with a little satire and wit.”

I really love his designs and will be keeping a close eye on his work for anything new.
