New York: Day 5

On our last day in New York me and my friends tried to do anything which we had missed out so far. We still hadn’t been up any of the towers so me and my friend went up the Top of the Rock in the morning to get a better view of the city we had been exploring for the last few days. The view was breath-taking and like most of the trip, very surreal. Being able to see the whole of Manhattan from that building was something I never thought I would experience, everything looked so small from that height. It was so peaceful from the top of the Rockefeller, and it made me reflect back on the trip, what I had explored and the new experiences I was about to walk away with. After we came back down to reality one of my friends suggested going to Victoria’s secret as they had a collection of some of the Balmain designs used in the last runway show. They were all so intricately made, and it was so mind-blowing how well each piece had been made by hand, it gave me a whole new appreciation for couture. After this we went to the Glossier pop-up shop and had a look round which was really interesting, and I hadn’t really experienced anything from the brand before, so it was a first for me. This was the final thing we did before rushing back to the hotel to get on the coach to the airport. It was really sad to leave New York as I had fallen in love with the city and felt really inspired on the whole trip. I am so glad I came on the trip and have left with amazing memories, new experiences and a true passion for food, travel and fashion.
