Last month I went to London for a concert and decided to have a look round the shops during the day. I had seen the collaboration with Topshop and Stranger Things, promoting the new season online and wanted to go to Topshop on Oxford Street to have a look at the products in store and the window displays. When I arrived outside the tube station I immediately saw the crowds of people gathered around the shop windows taking pictures and looking at the windows.

As a huge fan of the Netflix show I was extremely excited to see what all the fuss was about. One of the windows had been dressed to look like the Byers own living room with all the lights on the wall from season one. The furniture and everything in the window looked exactly like the set. The other window was interactive, allowing customers to queue up to immerse themselves in the window display. Set out as Hawkins Lab, customers had the chance to sit in the window with actors who would perform experiments on them.

I loved the window displays and think that it really drew people into the shop and got people talking about both the collaboration and the new season of Stranger Things. The clothing and accessories in the collaboration were also really appealing. There were many different styles of printed T-Shirts with the logo and characters from the show which were all really wearable. They also had items such as hats, rucksacks and lunchboxes, which would appeal to the younger generation slightly more.

Inside the store they had also created 'Castle Byers', Wills hiding place, and a wall of lockers from Hawkins High School, this just added to the shopping experience and gave people another chance to take photos. On the ground floor of the store they also had a DJ playing classic 1980's music which really heightened the excitement in store and just tied the whole collaboration together really well.

I really enjoyed going to see the collaboration and the window displays and it definitely got me even more excited for the release of the new series. After now having binge watched series two of Stranger Things in two days I can say it was definitely worth the wait. This series introduced new interesting characters and the relationships between characters and their development really stood out to me within the series. If you've never watched Stranger Things then you are missing out big time and need to give it a watch. Everything from the storyline, 80's setting, cinematography and characters has really been perfected and the Duffer Brothers have managed to create something really captivating.
