H&M X ERDEM Collection

After high anticipation from the fashion industry since its announcement in July earlier this year, the H&M X ERDEM collaboration is finally out and available to buy. Designer Erdem Moralioglu known for his romantic and floral fashion designs described the collection as a "decidedly dressed up and equally effortless". This collaboration was also the first time Erdem had created a menswear collection. "Designing the men’s collection was almost forensic. With every piece, I thought about how I wanted it to be: what does an ERDEM coat look like? What is its length? How does it fit? How should it feel?"

I love this collection for the attention to detail and perfection in each garment. The materials, colours and patterns are so romantic and transport you to a different time." It’s also inspired by much of my youth, from the English films, ’90s TV shows and music videos I grew up watching to memories of the style that defined members of my family. Taking from these inspirations, I imagined a group of characters and friends off to the English countryside for the weekend." I feel that you can clearly see this inspiration within the garments and most definitely in the fashion film by Baz Luhrmann, which was beautifully shot and really told the story Erdem envisioned.
