Greenery- Colour Of The Year

Pantone recently announced that Greenery would be the colour of the year for 2017, claiming it as a “symbol of new beginnings”. When I think of this shade of green I think of new life and fresh beginnings, a colour of refreshment and purity. Executive director of Pantone said “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment.” I agree with this statement and once again it is clear to see how colour, fashion and lifestyle have a close relationship with changes in society and politics shaping the connections we have with certain colours and trends.
